Who We Are

Dr. Alan Newton

A man in a white lab coat and dark tie smiles with hands folded.

Dr. Newton was born and raised in Brooklyn, New York. He left the big city to attend State University of New York at Binghamton and attended Tufts School of Dental Medicine. In 1979 he joined the Air Force where he remained for over 30 years. During his distinguished military career, he obtained the rank of Colonel. His achievements and accomplishments are too long to list but include being commander of three Air Force Medical Centers. He is also a diplomate of the American Board of Prosthodontists. After retiring from the Air Force in 2003, Dr. Newton moved to Maine and joined Maine Prosthodontics. He and his wife, Jeanette, reside in Cumberland. When he’s not in the office, he can be found boating on Casco Bay and driving his Boxster. He’s also likely to be spotted at one of the new restaurants in Portland.
