Prosthodontics

  • Fixed Prosthodontics

    Crowns

Crown and bridgework are very reliable solutions for major dental problems caused by accidents, diseases, or wear and tear.

    Key Benefits of Dental Crowns:

    • Replaces missing teeth
    • Offers support to misshapen teeth or broken teeth
    • Looks completely natural

Repairs smile and functional chewing problems

    Fixed Partial Dentures

Partial dentures are usually removable dentures that replace multiple teeth in the upper or lower portion of your mouth.

Partial dentures are more than cosmetic devices. They can also enhance chewing and speaking for the wearer. Partial dentures can also preserve the placement of the remaining teeth in your mouth, which may otherwise shift over time.

You may benefit from partial dentures if you’ve lost multiple teeth in the top or bottom of your jaw. Some contributing factors to a loss of your teeth include:

    • injury
    • removal of teeth or extraction
    • decay

    Full Mouth Reconstruction

Full mouth reconstruction refers to the process of completely restoring all of the teeth in your mouth. Full mouth reconstruction, unlike a “smile makeover,” is a necessary series of procedures, rather than an elective surgery. Full mouth reconstruction is needed when: teeth have been lost, teeth have been injured or fractured, teeth have become worn as a result of acid-erosion or jaw pain is present due to bite problems.

  • Removable Prosthodontics

    Partial Dentures

A removable partial denture is designed specifically to meet the needs of the patient and can replace one or more missing teeth. They restore a natural appearance, improve speech clarity, limit the movement of existing teeth and allow people to eat more efficiently, which can also help improve digestion.

    Complete Dentures

The conventional method of replacing all of your teeth is with a complete  (or full) denture. Full dentures are removable, replacement teeth that are fitted into an acrylic base that is crafted to look like your gums. Dentures make it easier to eat and speak better than you could without teeth. Dentures also help the facial and jaw muscles to work properly so that you can eat, speak and smile normally. Dentures will help fill out the appearance of your face and profile if you’re missing most or all of your teeth.

    Over Dentures

If you’re missing all of your teeth due to a dental condition or injury, you may want to consider snap-in or over dentures as a form of replacement teeth.

Unlike conventional dentures, which can potentially slip out of place, snap-in dentures are more stable and versatile.

Dental implants or screws placed within your jawbone hold over dentures in place. Typically, two to four implants are used in each jaw, although depending on the need and your budget, you may have as many as ten inserted.

    Relines and Repairs

Over time, the fit of your dentures or the structure of the dentures themselves may decline. In this case, we can reline, rebase or repair your dentures to provide a more precise fit and improve function.

Rebasing may be recommended when the teeth of your denture are still in good condition and have not worn out in comparison to the denture base material. Rebasing is the process of replacing the entire acrylic denture base providing a stable denture without replacing the denture teeth.

New dentures will typically fit your mouth very securely as it has been designed specifically for your gums. As time goes on, your gum tissues will change and the fit of the denture will become more loose and thus more prone to movement inside your mouth. Having the denture professionally relined every one to two years will keep the denture secure and functional.

  • Cosmetic Procedures

    Home Whitening

Teeth whitening is safe, quick, and inexpensive. At any appointment, just let us know if you would like to begin the bleaching process. You can lighten only your upper teeth or both the upper and lower depending on how much you show when you talk and smile.

    Key Benefits of Teeth Whitening:

    • Corrects brown, yellow, and mottled teeth stains.
    • Improve the aesthetics of your smile, regardless of age.

It is a near-permanent solution for a “dull” smile, restoring brightness and brings a smile alive

    Bonding

Bonding is an alternative to veneers and can be used as a restorative procedure for teeth that are chipped, cracked, discolored, or mis-arranged. The bonding procedure can often be completed in a single office visit and can significantly improve the appearance of a tooth. However, since the plastic resin used is not as strong as your natural tooth enamel, it is more likely to stain, chip, or break than natural teeth. Bonding typically lasts three to five years before need of repair.

    Veneers

Veneers are coverings that fit over the front surfaces of your teeth. Technicians use high-quality dental materials, like tooth-colored composite or porcelain, to create them.

Dental veneers are cosmetic in nature. They can conceal a wide range of aesthetic imperfections, including chips, cracks, gaps, tooth discoloration and more.

    Key Benefits of Veneers:

    • Chipped or broken teeth.
    • Diastema (gaps or spaces in your smile).
    • Stains that don’t improve with teeth whitening.
    • Teeth that are too small.
    • Misshapen teeth.
